Today was lots and lots of fun! i got up early ugh to go to hannas house where stephanie met up with us and we went to grenoble... as an exchange student you never know where you are going what you are doing, what to wear, what to bring, when your parents are coming back, are we going to eat, and can that car fit in that parking place? you just have to go with it... trust that someone somewhere knows what they are doing... so, i had no clue today what we were doing in grenoble... someone told me hiking so all i know is that im wearing jeans and tennis shoes, taking my camera, and that hannah and stephanie are going to be there! so, we thought that we were just going with stephanies family; but five other people showed up at their house and went too! so, it was about a thirty minute car ride in hannahs moms mini van, the others followed us and we could not find a parking place in grenoble! somehow, i have no clue how, in the states you couldnt fit a motor cycle in this spot... the backed the mini van and the other car into a sliver of a parking place! there, they started taking baskets and bags and coolers out of the car so we decided that we must be picnicing! anyways we were actually going to the top of this mountain overlooking grenoble where there are old walls and a fortress to see! but, the only way to get up there is to ride these ski lift like ball things over the city and up to the mountain! it was just loads of fun! there were six of us in the ball. at the top we walked around the walls that are kind of like steps and stuff that about every five steps you trip or almost fall or whatever but it doesnt matter you just keep going... then, we set up camp in a nice grassy area to have a pic nic! OMG they had brought so much food for that pic nic it was remarkable! here, it seemed like the place to have finger foods and things to just throw away.. oh but no they had everything! first they started out giving us plates and napkins and cups, none of them were disposable and they came around and filled the plates with cous cous that the mom had prepared earlier that day lol! then of course, they brought around the bread! next, they pulled out these strange sub sandwiches that were two hot dogs inside a bagette... we ate those... we had oragne flavored water to drink... then, the mom gets out a block of cheese that they start eating, then she brings us a peach cake that a guest brought last night; then they pulled out the yogurt and this applesauce stuff that you drink like a juice box, they they pulled out a thermos of coffee and coffee cups! we almost died cause they kept bringing out more and more food! then, we walked around the bastille and saw all the spiked doors and bars on the windows and stuff and we went to the gift shop and we got little badges to put on our rotary blazers but i dont have any safety pins, so i dont know how to put it on there!! anyways, you dont ride the little ball things back down; you have to wald... it was about three treacherous miles down that mountain on an uneven rocky path.. it was quite terrible, but we survived. then we went home. at hannas we swam in her pool... of course the one day i wasnt wearing a bathing suit under my clothes lol... but thats ok... i just wore one of hers! the pool was freezing cold so that didnt last long lol and then we watched meet the fockers!! we broke down and watched it in well deserved english though! woops! I had no clue what time i was going home, but my mom finally sqhowed up around eight lol! then i came home and my parents called... and woops i fell asleep before i could finish this blog lol but now its done!
